Thoracic spine

The thoracic spine comprises 12 vertebrae (T1–T12) forming the mid-portion of the vertebral column. It supports the rib cage and protects the spinal cord, but its rigidity can render it susceptible to compression fractures, often linked to osteoporosis or high-impact trauma.
