Renal replacement therapy

Renal replacement therapy includes modalities such as hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, and kidney transplantation. In cases of end-stage renal disease, these interventions replace critical kidney functions—filtering blood, excreting waste, and regulating fluid and electrolyte balance—to sustain life.
