CTA

CT angiography. CT angio

CT angiography (CTA) is a non-invasive imaging technique that uses computed tomography (CT) to visualize blood vessels. After injecting a contrast dye intravenously, the CT scanner captures detailed cross-sectional images, allowing for 3D reconstruction of the vascular system. CTA provides high-resolution images of arteries and veins, making it useful for diagnosing conditions such as aneurysms, stenosis, and blockages.

Compared to traditional angiography, CTA is faster, carries fewer risks (since it doesn’t require catheterization), and provides detailed anatomical information, making it ideal for planning interventions or assessing vascular diseases.
