Cobalt

Cobalt is essential to lithium-ion batteries, superalloys for aerospace, and as a key component of vitamin B12. Cobalt’s unique properties include high temperature resistance, magnetism, and durability. Cobalt is mined as a by-product of copper and nickel mining. Copper-cobalt deposits are found mainly in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and Zambia. Nickel-cobalt deposits are present in various locations worldwide.
