Aortopulmonary. AP window

An aortopulmonary (AP) window is a rare congenital defect characterized by an abnormal communication between the ascending aorta and the pulmonary artery. This condition allows blood to flow between the two great arteries, resulting in excessive pulmonary blood flow and potential heart failure. Early diagnosis and surgical correction are often necessary to prevent complications such as pulmonary hypertension and cardiac overload.
