Antiepileptic drug

These medications are used to control seizures in individuals with epilepsy or other conditions that cause abnormal electrical activity in the brain. AEDs work by stabilizing nerve cell activity to prevent or reduce the frequency of seizures. Common examples of AEDs include phenytoin, valproate, and levetiracetam.
