ATC
Around-the-clock
Examples of WRITTEN use in the hospital:
- “The patient requires ATC pain management to maintain comfort post-surgery.”
- “The nursing staff provided ATC monitoring for the critically ill patient.”
- “Antibiotics were administered ATC to control the infection effectively.”
ATC denotes continuous or scheduled care, typically involving medication administration or monitoring that occurs at regular intervals throughout the day and night.
These examples outside of medicine don’t ring so clearly:
- “The security team provides ATC surveillance of the building.”
- “The factory operates ATC to meet production demands.”
- “News agencies deliver ATC coverage of the election results.”
More likely they will actually write “around-the-clock”.
