Ureteropelvic Junction

The ureteropelvic junction marks the transition between the renal pelvis and the ureter. Obstruction at this junction (UPJ obstruction) can cause hydronephrosis, flank pain, and progressive renal dysfunction, often managed with endopyelotomy or pyeloplasty to restore unobstructed urinary flow.
