Thoracic aortic aneurysm

A thoracic aortic aneurysm is a pathological dilatation of the aorta within the chest cavity. It may be asymptomatic until rupture or dissection, which can be fatal. Surveillance imaging and elective repair—open or endovascular—are critical for high-risk aneurysms.
