Aggregates Levy Sustainability Fund

Funding initiative for mitigating impacts of aggregate extraction on heritage. The Aggregates Levy Sustainability Fund (ALSF) was introduced in April 2002 as part of the UK government’s Aggregates Levy initiative. The ALSF played a significant role in mitigating the environmental impact of aggregate extraction and fostering collaboration between industry, environmentalists, and local communities. Although the fund is no longer active, its legacy continues through the projects and partnerships it established during its operation.
