Associate Degree in Nursing

An Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) is a two- to three-year undergraduate program that prepares students to become registered nurses (RNs). The ADN program combines classroom education with hands-on clinical experience and covers core nursing subjects such as anatomy, pharmacology, and patient care. After completing the ADN, graduates are eligible to take the NCLEX-RN exam to obtain their nursing license. ADN programs are a quicker, more affordable path to becoming an RN compared to a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), though many nurses later pursue further education to advance their careers.
